Lindsey Jacobellis: The Snowboarder’s, Snowboarder

Snowboarders I am sure you all have heard of or personally know Lindsey Jacobellis. Well just in case you haven’t here is a bit about this fantastic boarder.
She’s the one that soared way above what was thought possible in the italy skiing (well snowboarding) community some years ago and at the time was thought of as a snowboarding superstar. She did things on a board that left everyone gasping even when she did crazy things and bombed out. Some of the things she did were reminiscent of the original idea of the sport when it was more carefree than it is today.
Jacobellis learnt her snowboarding at the age of ten in her home town Roxbury, Connecticut. Once she could handle herself her brother bean coaching her and had her entering competitions where she competed against boys many times. This helped to make her a competitive snowboarder and soon became a medal prospect or the 2006 winter Olympics. But for a serious fall she did not become Olympic champion at the games. She won a silver medal. At the 2010 Olympics she did not progress to the medal round after a bad run.
She is considered a snowboarding hot dog by many and even more people think she is just too overly confident if not downright crazy. Yet for this snowboarder it is not so much about the sport she loves but about having fun when she is doing her runs whether she is in competitions or not.
Though many people see someone who has not fulfilled their potential she says her dreams are not over yet. She is one of a kind and her skills on the snow have made her a crowd favourite wherever she goes. So who cares about potential? She has helped to make winter sport a crazy attraction and what would it be without her.
