Skiing Gear You Need to Hit the Slopes

If you’re ready to get out there and soar down the mountain on your next trip to val disere chalet, you should stop and do an inventory. Be sure you have the proper gear before jumping onto the ski lift. This include clothing, supplies, gear, accessories and such.

Escape the cold with the right clothing. Find the right gear for ladies or men because it is not one size fits all. Ladies’ or men’s gloves, at least two pair, are recommended in case you lose a pair. Find the ones that are moisture resistant. Have an under layer of clothing such as long johns or thermal underwear. Cover this with a t-shirt or long sleeve shirt and then with a sweater or turtleneck and last with a ski jacket. Ski pants and several pairs of socks should be worn. To keep your neck warm purchase a neck gaiter. Top it all off with a hat or headband to keep the heat inside your body.

The gear includes items such as skis, boots, backpack, walkie talkies in case you find yourself lost, helmet, ski poles and goggles. If this is your first time out you may want to consider renting the skis and boots. Once you discover your passion for skiing then you can make the investment.

While having foot and hand warmers on your person at all times may seem like common sense, don’t forget to pack them in your duffel or backpack. Other items you may not think of in the cold air is lip balm, sunscreen and wind block. Yes, there is such a thing as wind block.

Check and double check your supplies before leaving for the slopes. There is almost nothing worse than getting to the top of the mountain only to realize you forgot something vitally important such as your gloves or goggles.
